2008-05-05 - 8:28 p.m. Hey friends............. Once again it has been a LONG while since I've written an entry here. It was brought to my attention this past weekend that some of you actually get disappointed when there are no new entries. So alas... we will try to write more frequently. :) This past Friday I had the good fortune of reuniting onstage with one of the most indie savvy musicians around... Keith C of The Crayons. Keith and band (Mike, Terry, and Joe) came down from Albany to play the Loop Lounge and quite simply ROCKED the place. Their new CD (What's Wrong With You) is excellent. The live show did the songs from "What's Wrong..." major justice. The energy was paramount... the musicianship top notch... and the harmonies were stellar. As many of you know I was a member of The Crayons for nearly 4 years and took part in the recording of 2 excellent CD's and 2 major tours. Prior to the show Keith had asked if I wanted to sit-in for a song. I was psyched when he suggested "Sink Below" from the 2002 release "What Color Are You?". This was the first time I shared the stage with Keith since 2003. It was both nostalgiac and tremendous fun! For those of you that would like to check out The Crayons... hit their myspace site (you can find them as one of SR's top friends). And make plans to be at Buddies Tavern in Parlin, NJ on Saturday, July 19th as we'll be sharing the bill with these rockers from Albany! So... that's all for now. Stay tuned... there will be another entry in the relatively near future! Regards.........
