Hey Friends of SR!
Much has happened since our last entry. Such is the way of SR... ever evolving! Well... here's the quick update.
As most of you know, Sean and Nick have been busy this summer rebuilding Souls Release. We've played some acoustic shows; been writing new material; and even dropped the apostrophe from the name (subtle yet meaningful change).
Recently we played the Black River Music Fest in Chester, NJ. The event was outstanding! Perfectly organized by some diehard indie supporters... including Lazlo (BlowUpRadio.com) and Alan from Fragile Planet. There were so many others who worked behind the scenes to make the Fest a true success! We had the pleasure of sharing the bill with so many amazing bands/artists! It was a memorable occasion!
The most important part of the day for SR was our performance. We were joined by an incredibly talented bass player, Erik Brescher. It was Erik's first gig with SR... and it will not be his last! Erik will be playing shows in the future as SR is now a power trio! We're psyched as the phoenix is rising again!
September will be a time for Souls Release to write new material and get tight as Hell. We'll resume live shows in October. Whether acoustic or electric... SR will be bringing the show to you!
So for now... enjoy the end of summer and we'll see you soon!
