Hello everyone!
Thanks for taking a few moments to visit us here on the web. This is Joshua, checking in to deliver SR’s state of the union address.
Let me start by saying that Sean, Nick, Jon & myself sincerely hope that you are enjoying a happy and healthy holiday season. We wish all of you nothing but good times with good people as 2005 comes to a close!
2005 was another great year for Souls’ Release, but before I start getting all sentimental I want to take a quick look into the future. We’ve already got a lot of performances lined up for the first portion of 2006, and we want to be sure to give you some advanced notice about a couple shows in particular!
For our first show of 2006 we will be the special guests of our very good friends, ECHOFISSION as they celebrate the release of their new album, “Amplify the Sun”! As if that isn’t enough to be excited about, the show is being held at a great venue, Mexicali Blues. Mexicali Blues has done a lot to increase their national presence over the last few years. We’ve got a cool surprise up our sleeve for this one, so please mark your calendars. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT FOR THIS SHOW!!!!

Now for a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.
Souls' Release has been selected to compete in Round 1 of the NYC Emergenza Competition!!! Emergenza is the European and North American Live Festival for Up and Coming Bands!! We’ll be competing for prizes and a spot on a major national tour as well as a supporting slot on a huge out door festival in Germany this summer! WE CAN NOT ADVANCE TO ROUND 2 WITH OUT YOU!!!!!
Also… shortly after our set, I’ll be celebrating a birthday. Please help me achieve inebriation!

Those are just two of the exciting shows we’ve got lined up for next year. Please “stay tuned” because we’ll be announcing other great shows soon.
As I said earlier, 2005 has really been a great year for SR. While there were many highlights, the accomplishment that really stands out in my mind is the recording and completion of our first full length album, Through the Feeling. Those of you familiar with our band and this website are very aware of how much this record means to us. It took us a while to get it done, but we were able to get it out to you late this year and so far the public reaction to this record has just been overwhelming! This album has already earned us several award nominations and a couple of “best album of 2005” nods.
I know we’ve thanked everyone who was involved in the making of this record, or who has bought a copy of the record, many times over. You all know who you are… I just gotta sneak one more in: Thank you for helping us make a dream into reality!
As a side note we will be launching a nationwide radio campaign in support of “Through the Feeling” in January of 2006!!!
We were also very fortunate to play on some amazing bills and great venues in several regions of our country this past year. It has been a pleasure to have crossed paths with so many talented bands. Again, we have to send “thanks” to all of you who came out to support us time and time again.
We hope that you all get a feeling of satisfaction whenever we have news of success to report to you. We feel as if you are just as much a part of this as we are. Each one of us works really hard to make sure that we are at our best as much as often as possible. We also recognize that all of you are spreading the word about us, and making sure that each of our shows is a bigger event than the last. We know that we ask of a lot of you, but you always come true. Thank you…we love you.
We look forward to sharing many more good times with in 2006 and beyond!
