Greetings brothers and sisters!
This is Joshua checking in to share with you all that is new with SR. There is plenty to talk about since we last checked in with you shortly after our wildly successful CD release show. In the last month we’ve had some great shows in Philadelphia, Long Island NY, and our home state of New Jersey. As always we appreciate everyone who has come out to support us at shows and picked up our new album along the way…making the initial release of “Through the Feeling” a total success!
However, we’re not about to stop there. We’re ramping up for a very busy run to close out 2005. We’re going to kick it off with our first New York City appearance since this past August! On Saturday, November 5th we’re going to be part of a very cool line up featuring some close friends of ours. The venue has a very cozy, lounge vibe but we’re sure it will be rocking very hard on this particular night. So, check out the details!!!!

SR IS NOMINATED FOR 3 2005 ASBURY MUSIC AWARDS!!!
On Wednesday, November 2nd, the legendary Stone Pony will host the 13th annual Asbury Music Awards (the NJ indie scene’s version of The Grammy’s). Souls’ Release has been nominated in the categories of BEST POP/ROCK BAND; BEST LOCAL RELEASE for our album “Through the Feeling”; and our track “Angry” has been nominated in the category of BEST SONG!!!
We will be attending the award ceremony, although we will NOT be performing.
We are extremely flattered that our local scene has honored us with these nominations! We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the other nominees. Also, we must thank all of our fans and friends who have continued to support us every step of the way. We have asked a lot of you over the past couple of years and you have always come through. Without you, we would have never received such honorable mentions. You mean the world to us…thanks!
Souls’ Release on the Radio!?
Later this fall we will be launching a major radio campaign. Stay tuned for a list of radio stations that will be spinning tracks from our new album!!!
Before I sign off, I just want to let everyone know that our thoughts and prayers are with our friends in the Gulf Coast who have been toughing out the worst hurricane season ever. As I write this, Hurricane Wilma is unleashing her fury on the state of Florida, just as she had done to Mexico several days ago. I’m sure the relief efforts will begin soon. Please do your part wherever and whenever possible to help send aid to those who need it!
