Hello again from SR HQ! Thanks for checking in with Souls’ Release. We have a lot of ground to cover in this update, so get your pencils ready, students of rock. Let’s begin.
The weekend before last, the band played two great shows with our friends Harriet Street from Boston. Thursday, July 7th saw Souls’ Release make our first trip to Boston, to support Harriet Street at their record release show. The venue was the legendary Middle East, the crowd was pumped, and SR delivered an action-packed set to some old friends and many new listeners.
Then, just two nights later on July 9th, SR and Harriet Street teamed up again at The Saint in Asbury Park. Many of our long-time supporters, as well as some new faces, made it out to the show and helped to make it a huge success. Thanks again to Harriet Street for two great nights of rock. Thanks also to Scott at The Saint, and to Green Machine, Glennwood and One Bullet Test for rounding out the night.
The show on July 9th at The Saint was notable for another reason as well. It marked the 50th electric show by Souls’ Release, as well as the one-year anniversary of our first public performance in our current four-man lineup. It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since we first shared the stage with Sean Calcamuggio. Since then, we’ve accomplished so much as a band. And we have no one to thank but you, our loyal supporters, for all of the great things we’ve experienced as a band over the last year.
In other important news, we’re proud to announce that our debut full-length CD, Through the Feeling, has been officially completed! We attended our mastering session at West West Side Music and listened as head engineer Alan Douches put the finishing touches on the record. We’re thrilled with the result, and we can hardly wait to share it with you at our record release party on Saturday, September 10th at The Crossroads in Garwood, NJ. This will be our biggest show to date and it is not to be missed. So mark your calendars now!
