Family, friends and fans… Hello there!! Souls Release is 98% done with the recording process, but don't let that fool you. There's still a lot of work to be had. We have to mix and master the songs. Then there’s the artwork, photography, and CD layout/design to do. Everything is coming along great. And if I may, it sounds AMAZING. Everyone has been putting in more than 110% and has made this experience incredible. We head back into the studio this Sunday (March 13th) for another session.

That’s just the recording update. Be prepared to see and hear a lot of SR in 2005!! We’ve already played a few awesome gigs this year. In mid-February, we had a show at the Pattenburg House with Dyer Weed. What a fun night that was. Dyer Weed sounded great as usual with their slightly straight ahead jam-band sound. A good band with good people. I highly recommend checking them out.

Souls’ Release was first to perform starting off around 10pm. A nice long set was in call for the night and that’s what we delivered. We mixed it up with originals and some covers such as Whole Lotta Love, Hey Jealousy, Good, and of course Baba O'Riley. All of our time and energy from mid-January until mid-February had gone into recording. So this was a great opportunity to start getting back into the groove of performing!!

The next show was a week later at Kenny's Castaways in New York City. An amazing night I must say. We rocked so hard I think we all impressed ourselves. A few bands were on the bill for the night including one from Ohio called The Breeze Way, a newer grunge sound. Also good friends of SR, “Brothers of Industry” rocked!! Kenny’s is an awesome place to play a show. Not a typical NYC gig in a real small bar. The high ceilings, balcony, and list of famous names who played there are all impressive. Next to Asbury Park, Kenny's was another spot to see Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band in the early 1970's.

Upcoming shows include an acoustic performance at Montclair State University on March 9th and a Tsunami Benefit at The Crossroads in Garwood, NJ on March 12th. And next week (Wednesday, March 16th) warm up that car for a trip down to Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ. Come see Souls' Release rock harder than ever before!! The show starts at 8:30pm and we go on at 9:45pm. This will be SR's first time playing Maxwell’s and we really need your support!! Since it’s our first time playing (and headlining) Maxwell’s we were given a Wednesday gig. They want to see how many people SR can bring in before they give us a weekend slot. So with that in mind, please come down to Maxwell’s on March 16th and help us pack the place with family, friends and fans!!

Much Love and Peace….
Sean
