Greetings from Camp Souls' Release! Jon Andrew here, bringing you the latest SR update. Thanks for checking in on what the band has been up to.
First off, we'd like to offer a huge thanks to everyone who made it out to The Loop Lounge this past Friday night. The Loop has emerged as something of a home base for SR, and our shows there are always extremely special. This most recent performance was no exception. In case you missed it, allow me to recap this amazing night of original rock.
Souls' Release opened the show to an enthusiastic and vocal audience. As is typical at the Loop, many friends and family members were in attendance to offer their support, making the night that much more special for us. Thanks again to all who made it out in support of SR.
Next up was the amazing Particle Zoo, performing their first show in several months. If you've never seen P-Zoo, words don't do them justice. But rest assured they rocked the house – and fit more keyboards on the Loop's stage than I would've thought possible.
And finally, Hoboken's Butterspy closed the night out with an incredibly tight set of their upbeat, danceable tunes. These guys simply radiate positivity and it's always a pleasure to share the stage with them.
In between bands, DJ Vic spun an amazing mix of indie, classic alternative, and even some vintage rock, ensuring that the energy didn't lag for even a moment. A big thank you to Vic as well as Frank, Eddie, Stew, Carl, Bruce and the rest of the crew at the Loop for yet another supremely successful night.
We want to offer a very special thanks to Lazlo from BlowUpRadio.com and Jared Migden of WRSU for emceeing the night and providing some free loot for the audience. These guys' support is seemingly endless and is greatly appreciated.
Looking ahead, October is shaping up to be the busiest month yet for SR. We've got six shows in three states in the next month, kicking off with a great bill at one of our favorite venues in Jersey.
This Saturday, 10/9, we'll be returning to the Shannon Lounge in Hoboken. We'll be joined once again by Butterspy as well as My Pocket Zoo. The Shannon is an excellent room with a very laid back atmosphere, making this a show not to be missed.
Check our "Shows" page for more details on this show as well as the rest of SR's "Rocktober" schedule. With such a packed calendar, chances are we'll be performing near you in the coming weeks.
Thanks again for checking up on SR. And we hope to see you soon!
Rock,
Jon
