2004-09-14 - 4:19 p.m. Welcome back to WWW.SOULSRELEASE.COM! As always we’re glad that you took time out of your day to see how we’re doing. We hope that you’re all happy and healthy. We want to take a moment to say “thank you” to all of our friends and fans who came out to see us this past weekend for two performances in Western NJ. First up was Friday night’s show at the historic PATTENBURG HOUSE. It was great to see many people who remembered us from our last visit there several months ago, as well as some of our most devoted fans in the house for a fun night of rock music. We had the honor of opening up for “What the Funk”, who served a healthy dose of funk for us all to get down to. We’d like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff at the Pattenburg House for taking great care of us and making us feel right at home. We’ll be back soon! Saturday morning we trekked out to Clinton, NJ to take part in a day of music to remember September 11, 2001 and to benefit Jersey Jams/Jersey Cares & the Red Mill Museum. No one can deny the significant role the events of 9/11 have had on all of our lives. So, SR got together along with 10 other bands and a beautiful crowd to remember and pay homage the best way we know how…through the gift of music. We were so happy to see many of our fans make the trip out to Clinton to share a beautiful day with us. Our set was truly charged by your energy. Thanks for coming out to support us as well as this worthy cause. There were so many highlights and great performers at this event that it would take far too long to list them all. However we would like to give quick props to the incredible organist, John Ginty (Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Citizen Cope…). John provided the day’s most touching moment when he performed a riveting, instrumental version of “God Bless America”. It’s safe to say that everyone in attendance got goose bumps from hearing this incredible performance, if not a little teary eyed. We were able to capture a few good pictures of our peeps hanging with us over the weekend. So, go to the “Visual” section of our website and check out the “Friends of SR” Gallery. There’s a good chance you’ll see a picture of YOU hangin’ with us. If you missed us this past weekend, don’t worry…the cool shows just don’t stop coming… This Saturday (September 18th), SR will be back at Krogh's. Krogh's is an excellent restaurant and microbrewery. And with the great food and beer comes an ample dose of live music!! Souls' Release will be on at 10pm SHARP!! We've invited our friends "Big Blue Red" to share the bill with us. BBR will be on after SR. Krogh's is located at 23 White Deer Plaza in Sparta, NJ. Go to our “SHOWS” page for more details. We’ll see you there…wear your SR gear! That’s going to be all for now. Please check back with us soon as we’ll have some very cool news to report to you in the near future! Always take care of each other! Peace, Love & Soul Sean, Jon, Nick & Joshua Souls’ Release
