Hello everyone, and thank you for taking some time out to check up on SR!
There's no other way to say it... WE HAVE YET TO COME DOWN FROM THE HIGH OF PLAYING OUR FIRST ELECTRIC GIG!!! Thanks to all of our peeps for coming out to support us last Friday night at The Loop Lounge in Passaic Park, N.J. We were so pleased to see the club becoming near fire hazard packed well before we kicked the night off as the first of 3 bands.
We had been waiting for this night for a long time. Needless to say, we were pumped and full of energy. It was such a thrill to see you out there matching all that energy as we poured our hearts and souls out. You truly make it feel as if we're all in it together. And for that we can not thank you enough. Please continue to show your support as we continue to roll along.
This entry wouldn't be complete if we didn't give "shout outs" to our dear friends in Echofission. These guys delighted us with a set that consisted of several songs off of their new CD, "Like, Sza Love" as well as a riveting version of U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name". It was great to see these guys and we look forward to sharing bills with them again in the future.
Our boys in Remedy For Ruin closed the night out with an equally powerful set of intelligent hard rock/punk influenced music. These guys are out here from Colorado trying to grab their piece of the pie. From the looks of things, I'd say they're well on their way. We look forward to crossing paths with R4R again too.
All in all, the night really did exceed our expectations. Thanks again to everyone who made it out... it would not have been the same without you!!
Our next big rock show will be on Saturday, April 10 at The Saint in Asbury Park, N.J. We'll be sharing the bill with local favorites, Como Drive! This too promises to be another packed house. So, mark your calendar and get there early. Please check our "shows" page for more details.
In between gigs, we'll be continuing our work at Brown Sound Studio, so we can bring you some new tunes to download ASAP. Most likely the next tune posted will be a song called "Shadows", which was written and features lead vocals by SR guitarist, Nick Ferriero. Those of you who have seen us perform the song live know that it's "big"! So keep checking the "audio" page, as we should have it posted there soon.
That's all for now. As always we thank you for your support and ask that you continue to show it. We're going to be hitting the Northeast pretty hard for the next couple of months.
